Remarks

Developed as a trainer for the multi engine bombers that would be required if war broke out. Based on an existing 6 seat passenger aircraft, an initial 136 order was given to the Portsmouth factory. Eventually it was to produce 4,411 aircraft. Later, 1,515 of theses aircraft were also build be de Haviland at Hatfield, 1,360 by Percival Aircraft at Luton, and 750 by Standard Motors at Coventry.
