Eligibility

A person who qualifies for both the Pacific Star and the Burma Star, is awarded only one of these, the Star first earned. A Clasp is awarded with it denoting that service which would have qualified for the other Star has been rendered. When the Pacific Star is awarded under this provision and the ribbon alone is worn, a silver rose Emblem will denote the award of the Burma Clasp.

The Burma Star was granted for entry into operational service in the Burma Campaign between the 11 Dec 1941 and 2 Sep 1945, inclusive.
