In May 1945 they absorbed the 25th Hospital laundry Unit, and moved to Madang in new Guinea to relieve 111 Australian Casualty Clearing Station, remaining here until the wars conclusion.

The rest of the unit followed in October and they collectively serviced the base troops in southern Queensland.
