In May 1943 AASC units in Western Australia were re-organised and the unit was split to form 7th Supply Depot Company and 8th Supply Depot Company which had responsibility for the depot at Midland and a number of small detachments spread around hte state.  The detachment at the Metropolitan Markets in West Perth became 63rd Supply Depot platoon.
