General Information
Negotiations to secure the school buildings for a hospital began in January 1942, with the first staff arriving on 17 Feb 1943. Set up to accommodate 1,200 beds plus staff, the hospital occupied the site for four and a half years until it was handed back to the Masonic Lodge in 1947.
