Pre War
Along with his wife Millicent and son Alfred John, Alfred senior boarded the SS Barrabool in London on 6 Sep 1923 for Fremantle.
Electoral Roll entries: 1925 - 1943 at Illawarra Orchard, Karragullen, teamster.
War Service
On 22 Mar 1942 Alfred enlisted in the Volunteer Defence Corps in Armadale and was allocated tot he 2nd (Fremantle) VDC Battalion. On 1 May 1945, along with the rest of the unit, Alfred was placed in the Reserve.
Post War
Electoral Roll entries: 1954 at Alpine road, Kalamunda, orchardist; 1958 at 37 Evelyn street, Gosnells, retired. Their son Alfred John Davies (1913 - 1993) took over the orchard when Alfred Snr retired
