Brief History
7th Workshop & Park Company was formed on a reduced scale in late 1939 at Karrakatta, responsible for the operation of the main engineer stores dumps in th perth area. In December 1943 they were relieved of this role and moved to the RAE Training Centre at Kapooka in New South Wales for training. In February 1944 they moved to Noonamah in hte Northern Territory, and then to Winnellie in April. From this base they progressively took over all engineer stores and workshop functions as other like units were withdrawn. They had detachments at Alice Springs, Banka Banka, Katherine, Camooweal an Mt Isa.
