War Service
Mervyn enlisted in the part time CMF at Armadale on 21 Oct 1941 and was called up for full time service on 5 Jan 1942. He served in the 2nd AIF from 10 Aug 1942 until 17 Dec 1945.
Morotai 2 Jun - 8 Oct 1945. 17 May 1945 Mervyn was posted to Z Australian Special Unit 4 Nov 1945 [[[Western Command Recruit Reception & General Details Depot]] for reallocation 8 Nov 1945 posted to 124th Australian general Transport Company 124 Dec 1945 transferred back to [[[Western Command Recruit Reception & General Details Depot]]'s Discharge Section who discharged Mervyn on 17 Dec 1945.
