Pre War
In 1895 Edwin had married Emma Connolley in Jarrahdale.
War Service
Became ill on the ship to UK and hospitalised with pleurisy, by Mar 1917 dangerously so. Returned to Australia without entering France and discharged 5th MD 21 Dec 1917 as unfit (TB of lungs). Placed on a pension of 30/- p.f. Granted 22 Dec 1917.
