==Brief History==
The 10th Australian Anti Malaria Control Unit was raised at Ashgrove in Brisbane in October 1942 and moved to Adelaide River in the Northern Territory. Renamed the '''10th Malaria Control Unit''' in February 1943, by September they had detachments at Darwin, Mataranka, and Katherine. In May 1944 they move to Mount Bundy road, with detachments at Darwin, Katherine and Larrimah. By late 1944 the units in the Northern Territory were concentrated in Darwin, and the unit moved there in November, remaining there until the end of the war.
