General Information

Camp Hospital Grovely was raised in November 1941 at Grovely in Queensland, and moved to Kangaroo Point in April 1942. In July the Camp Hospitals were re-organised and it was renamed 9th Australian Camp Hospital, specializing in the treatment of venereal diseases. In November 1942 it was renamed 126th Australian Special Hospital when it assumed responsibility for administering all prophylactic centers in Queensland. They remained at kangaroo Point until the end of the war.
