Brief History
During January 1945 at Chermside in Queensland, the 2/33rd General Transport Company was converted into 2/41st Transport Platoon, 2/42nd Transport Platoon, 2/43rd Transport Platoon, 2/44th Transport Platoon and the 2/33rd Workshop Platoon. Transport platoons had one officer and 60 other ranks and they included a small workshop section.
