War Service

Original contact with the AMF was on 26 Jan 1942 when he was mobilised and completed enlistment papers. Following a medical examination on 2 Mar 1942, he took the oath in Maddington on 29 Mar 1942. Clive was employed in a protected occupation, and so he was allocated to the 2nd (Fremantle) VDC Battalion's Armadale company with Army Number W67975.


On 6 Nov 1943 his number was changed to W21538. Clive was placed on the Reserve on 1 May 1945 and the VDC Battalions were formally closed on 15 Oct 1945.

Post War

Electoral Roll entries: 1954 and 1958 - Third Avenue Kelmscott, driver. In 1968 at Church Street Kelmscott, driver and 1972 and 1977 at 50 Westfield Road Kelmscott, Mail Contractor.

Clive was the son of Henry "Harry" Fancote and Gertrude Ivy Stainer Turner.
