War Service

Cyril enlisted in the CMF on 3 Nov 1939 at Claremont and on 6 Nov 1939 he was allocated to the 13th AASC Motor Transport Depot, but detached the same day to the 2/11th Australian Infantry Battalion at Northam Camp, classified as a Driver Trade Group III. He was granted two days leave in March and again from 24 Apr - 1 May 1940 inclusive. Cyril was discharged from the CMF on 6 Jun 1940 as he had joined the 2nd AIF.
