Enlisted at the Claremont Recruit Reception Depot.
Appears to Have been a member of No 2 Platoon - the Ack Ack or Anti Aircraft Platoon.
Discharged 10 Apr 1942. Given this discharge date, it would appear that he did not leave Australia as the unit was in Adelaide from July to October 1941, and Darwin from October to 30 Dec 1941.
Post War
Esmie died on 26 Nov 1962 aged 52 in Carlisle.
