War Service

Original enlistment in the Volunteer Defence Corps occurred on 18 Jul 1942 in Port Hedland where Don was allocated to the 11th (North West) VDC Battalion. On 13 Nov 1942 Don was transferred to the 2nd (Fremantle) VDC Battalion from which he was discharged on 18 Dec 1944 at his own request. Medical classification was B1 due to previous leg injury and nervous breakdown in 1936.

Post War

Electoral Roll entries: 1949 - 1977 at 74 Evelyn street, Gosnells, haulage contractor.

Some military records have dropped the letter s from the surname. Various records use one of three spellings, Eatts, Eatt, and Eat. Appears to be the brother of Gordon James Eatts, and legal name is most probably Eatts.
