During 1937 Ted had married Beatrice E Jorgensen in Perth.

War Service
Ted enlisted in the Volunteer Defence Corps at Pickering Brook on 24 Apr 1942 and was allocated to 2 Platoon, 'A' Company of the 12th (Jarrah) VDC Battalion, based around Pickering Brook.
