Brief History

Fortress Signals, Albany was mobilized in July 1941 to man the signals associated with the Princess Battery which sits above the town and overlooks the Port of Albany and the outer harbour. The unit was absorbed into Anti Aircraft & Fortress Signals, Western Area in September 1943.
