Pre War
War Service
Allocated to the 3rd Depot Squadron for training in WA. Prior to embarking for Egypt, on 20 Oct 1915 Frank was allocated to the 11th reinforcement draft for the 10th Light Horse Regiment.
Spent 18 - 23 Mar 1916 in hospital at Gabel Kabrite with pneumonia.
On 8 Jun 1917 Frank was transferred to the Engineers 2nd Field Squadron's 3rd Troop in Shellal near Gaza. In Jun 1918 he was made Temporary Corporal, reverting back to Lance Corporal when he was evacuated to hospital on 5 July 1918. After being seen by the 3rd Light Horse Brigade Field Ambulance, and the 66th Casualty Clearing Station, he was admitted to the 24th Stationary Hospital in Kantara on 9 July, and then the 14th Australian General Hospital in Port Said with malaria.
Released from hospital on 10 Aug 1918 he was given seven days leave in Cairo, before returning to Moascar on 25 Aug 1918. He rejoined the 2nd Field Squadron in Ludd, Palestine, on 1 Sep 1918. Frank was hospitalised again on 8 Oct 1918 and remained in the 14th Australian General Hospital in Port Said until he was released to a rest camp in Port Said on 23 Nov 1918.
Re-admitted to hospital, (while on sick leave) to the 31st General Hospital in Cairo on 5 Dec 1918, he returned to his unit in Moascar on 27 Dec 1918, but was again hospital bound on 7 Jan 1919, this time to the 2nd Australian Stationary Hospital where he remained until he returned to Australia. Frank was discharged by the 5th Military District on 19 Aug 1919.
"Enlisted 5 Aug 1915 and sailed with 11th Reinforcements to the 10th Light Horse on 1 Nov 1915. At present with Light Horse in Egypt."[1]
Post War
Married Dorothy Brady (1898-1947) in Perth during 1921. Dorothy died 15 Jan 1947 in Floreat Park aged 49. Daughter Patricia (9 Oct 1926 - 11 Aug 2011).
Electoral Roll entries - 1925 - 1937 "Lowboi", Tambellup, farmer with Dorothy. Donald Edward, a brother ? joined them in 1936. In 1943 Dorothy was at 37 Newry street, Wembley Park.

Death was attributed to war service. Buried in the Katanning Cemetery
