Owned by the Scottish Shire Line Ltd of London,she was leased to the Commonwealth until 9 Jan 1918. She made five completed trips from Australia.
Post war she returned to her cargo carrying role until 28 Nov 1926 when she caught fire while enroute to the UK from Brisbane, and sank.
