Remarks
Built for the Bibby Line and named the Cheshire, she was used during the Boer War as a troopship.
In 1910 she was sold to Lim Chin Tsong of Rangoon and renamed as the Seang Choon. Taken over in 1915 as a troopship, and made one trip with troops to Egypt before becoming a hospital ship involved with the Dardanelles campaign. Made two additional voyages from Australia as a troop ship in 1916.
Torpedoed and sunk off the coast of Ireland on 10 Jul 1917 while on a voyage from Sydney to London by submarine U-87 with 19 lives lost.
