Remarks

Originally constructed for the New York to London route, she made 137 trans Atlantic voyages before she became a military transport (HMT 158).


It would appear that during her time as a troopship, she operated primarily in the Mediterranean. Twice she was torpedoed by U Boats with out success, before on 2 Feb 1917 she was successfully torpedoed in the Mediterranean south of Sardinia by two U Boats U64 and U67.
