Pre War

Had married Lily Violet Weeks in the south west on 28 May 1934

War Service

Originally enlisted in the CMF (Militia) as a General Reinforcement, but quickly (20 Jul 1942) converted to AIF service. In the meantime on 8 May 1942 he was allocated to the 13th Training Battalion at Northam to complete his basic training. Ten days later he was posted to the 55th Anti Aircraft Company in Fremantle and on 31 Oct 942 he was made an Acting Lance Corporal. This was followed by promoting to Acting Corporal on 29 Jan 1943.


On 1 Oct 1943 Harold as posted to the 69th Served in the Northern territory from 9 Jul 1944 until 1 Dec 1944

At the point of discharge Harry was said to have 5 children under 16 years of age. He was discharged on 29 Oct 1945.
