Pre War

In the 1891 English Census, Harold's names were reversed, i.e. William Jesse Harold. The address was 30 Bishop street, Coventry. He and Hannah were married in Coventry in the last quarter of 1909. Edith Hannah died in Armadale on 10 Aug 1968, aged 82.

Harold and Hannah made several trips to England between the wars. On 21 Aug 1920, together with their two sons aged 7 and 9 they sailed for Fremantle aboard the SS Ormonde. Harold was described as being a miner. On 15 Sep 1934 Harold sailed from London for Fremantle, departing on 15 Sep 1934, aboard the SS Orford having stayed at 36 Silverton road, Coventry. On 4 Oct 1938 Harold and Edith returned to Fremantle from London aboard the SS Stratheden having departed London on 2 Sep 1938.
