Harry emigrated to Western Australia, leaving Avonmouth (Bristol) aboard SS Changwiola on 3 Aug 1925. He had served from 7 Jan 1915 in the Royal Marine Light Infantry, Plymouth Division.

War Service
Harry enlisted in the CMF (Militia) in Perth on 23 Oct 1940, and was appointed Lance Corporal the same day in the 5th Military District Line of Command Provost Company.
