War Service

On 26 Apr 1942 John enlisted at Mundijong in the Volunteer Defence Corps, allocated to the 2nd (Fremantle) VDC Battalion until 1 Jul 1942 when he transferred to the 12th (Jarrah) VDC Battalion, serving with them until he was discharged on 1 May 1945
