During 1932 Ken married Elizabeth Gladys (Bessie) Hibble.

War Service
Prior to being mobilised on 15 Nov 1940, Kenneth had been a member of the Reserve Remount Troupe. He was allocated to the 9th Auxiliary Horse Transport Company. On 22 Nov 1940 he was appointed as a Lance Corporal, and eight days later on 30 Nov 1940 he was promoted Corporal before attending an Instructional Course in Geelong, Victoria.
