Remarks
Managed by M. Chr. Stray, Kristiansand, the Anatina was a Norwegian merchant ship. The Anatina spent a large proportion of the war carrying out coastal shipping around Australia and moving troops between Australia and the islands to the north.
The Anatina was sold in September 1961 to Einar M. Gaard A/S and Sigurd Haavik A/S, Haugesund and renamed Gardøy. She was used in worldwide tramping service and in the seasonal lumber trade. Taken over by Einar M. Gaard A/S in the summer of 1965. Arrived in Haugesund in January 1967 for sale, and delivered in May 1967 as Ela to Ships Mediterranean Lines West Africa Ltd., based in Haifa, Israel. From 6 Jun 1970 she sailed as Armadora for Meridional Armadora S.A., of Panama. Sold again in December 1971 to Taiwanese breakers, she was again renamed, this time to Viva X and she arrived Kaohsiung on 29 Feb 1972.
