According to records, Martha was born in Kojonup in 1876 to Thomas and Mary Flindell. Mary Flindell, Martha's mother, was born Mary Luff.

Marriage

Martha married David Bradford in 1919, in Perth.

Property

Martha and David lived mostly in Yandanooka. There is some confusion among present-day local historians as to how Martha came to be buried at St Mary's (aside from being strong friends of the Armstrong family) and that perhaps she did live in the district briefly on a property they called 'Yandanooka' in honour of their previous home. More research is required.
