This Unit was raised at Darwin as '''10 Mobile Fighter Sector Headquarlers''' on 10 May 1943, and they commenced operation immediately. During October 1944 the name or the Unit was changed to '''110 Mobile Fighter Sector Headquarters'', and during March 1944 to '''110 Mobile Fighter Control Unit (MFCU)'''.
