Oliver first enlisted on 23 Nov 1939 but his WX 1069 service terminated when he was discharged on 29 Nov 1939 due to defective eyesight. He later re-enlisted on 5 Mar 1940.
On 5 Mar 1940 Oliver re-enlisted in the 2nd AIF while at the 2/1st Convalescdent Depot
On 23 Jul 1943 Oliver changed his NOK to his Mother, Mrs Mary Louisa Bruce
Last unit before discharge was 2/1st Convalescent Depot. Discharged by the 5th Military District on 31 Oct 1945.
