Pre War

On 31 July 1937 Bob married Phyllis Eva Campbell (1916 - 2010) an they had two children. Phyllis died on 21 Jul 2010 aged 94 in Como.

War Service

On 28 Apr 1942 at Nyamup, Bob enlisted in the Volunteer Defence Corps, and was allocated to the 14th (Karri) VDC Battalion. However, at Manjimup on 25 Oct 1944 he was transferred to the 12th (Jarrah) VDC Battalion. All VDC units were struck of strength on 15 Oct 1945.

Post War

Electoral Roll entries: 1949 - 1954 at Jarrahdale, faller; 1968 at 2895 Albany highway, Kelmscott, bus driver; 1972 at 3 Montrose street, Lynwood, greenkeeper; 1977 at 12 Harry street, Gosnells, retired; 1980 at 10 Soley place, Ferndale, retired.
