Brief History

238th Supply Depot Platoon was raised at Cabarlah in Queensland in late August, early September 1943. In November it moved to Merauke in Dutch New Guinea to work with 222 Supply Depot Platoon to service Merauke Force, remaining there until the end of the war. While at Merauke, one of their men died form injuries received from an accident.
