Remarks
Assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific theatre of operations
- Embarked the Australian Army 9th Division soldiers and transported them via Buna to the Huon Gulf.
- On 4 Sep 1943 during "Operation "Postern" landed at Red Beach to the east of the mouth of the Buso River east of Lae.
- Between 14 - 17 Sep 1943 conducted another landing and supported operations in the area.
- On 26 Dec 1943 made an amphibious landing at Cape Gloucester on New Britain.
- 2 Jan 1944 during "Operation Michaelmas" made an amphibious landing at Saidor unloading men from the U.S. Army, 6th Army, 32nd Infantry Div.
- Between 17 Feb 1944 and 15 Mar 1944 participated in the landings in the Admiralty Islands.

Peacetime History
From 14 Jan 1946 until 5 Feb 1946 remained in the Far East as part of Japan occupation service. On 5 Feb 1946 decommissioned and assigned to the Shipping Control Authority for Japan (SCAJAP) and redesignated Q043. On 31 Mar transferred to the Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS) and redesignated USNS T-LST-456. On 15 Jun 1973 struck from the Naval Register and sold for merchant service.
On 27 Sep 1973 sold to Maritime Co., Ltd. in Khorramshahr, Iran and renamed MV Karkas. On 1 Feb 1993 sold to the United Arab Emirates and renamed MV Bshair. Fate unknown and likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
