The unit moved to Tolga in March where 17th Ordnance Stores Company was created, with combined strength of 332 all ranks. With reduced numbers of troops based in Townsville or passing through it, the remnants of Ordnance units there were under the command of this unit. When the war ended in August, the 13th Australian Advanced ordnance Depot' comprised a Depot HQ, two Motor Transport spares sections, three clothing and general sections, two technical stores sections, one provision section, four clerical increments and five stores increments.
