Pre War
War Service
16 year old Denzil enroled with the 5 Wing ATC Cadets on 29 Apr 1942, before enlisting when he was 18 In the RAAF. He enlisted on 7 Dec 1944 at No. 4 RAAF Recruiting Centre, and was posted the same day to No. 1 Initial Training School RAAF at Clontarf to begin traiing as Aircrew. On 20 Oct 1944 he was appointed Leading Aircraftman, and his next posting was to No. 1 Wireless Air Gunners School in Ballarat on 7 Dec 1944. His training continued when on 13 Jun 1945 he was posted to the Point Cook based Signals School RAAF. However, with hostilities at an end, on 17 Sep 1945 he was posted to No. 5 Personnel Depot RAAF to prepare fr discharge which occurred on 3 Oct 1945.
Post War
In 1948 Denzil married Shirley Choules (1931- 2012). Son Robin Frank Fletcher.
