While with them he was detached to No. 1 School of Technical Training RAAF from 24 Aug until 22 Oct 1943. 30 Sep 1944 transferred to No. 4 Personnel Depot RAAF and almost immediately to No. 2 Reserve Personnel Pool RAAF on 27 Oct 1944 to No. 5 Radio Installation & Maintenance Unit RAAF On 4 Nov 1944 to No. 7 Repair and Salvage Unit RAAF No. 43 Squadron RAAF

Transferred to No. 5 Personnel Depot RAAF on 13 Feb 1946 where he was discharged on 5 Mar 1946.

Post War

During 1947 Lenard married Gladys Olivia Mary (Olive) Murray (1920 - 2011). They had four children, one being Mark Hurley. Electoral Roll entries: 1949 - 180 at 240 Station street, East Cannington, cash register mechanic/mechanic.

Notes

While his RAAF Records list him as Angus Lenard Hurley, his birth is registered as Lenard Angus, and he is also listed in Electoral Rolls in that way.
