General Information
Thi sunit was raised at Downlands College in Toowoomba, Queensland in January 1942. With the decline in Army troop numbers in southern Queensland by December 1943, the unit was disbanded
The 1st Australian Orthopaedic Hospital was a part of the 117th AGH while at Toowoomba.
