Brief History

This unit was formed in Narrogin in June 1942, but in August it moved to Harvey where it conducted a range of courses that included: Junior Tactical; Platoon Commander; Junior Staff; Regimental Sergeant Major; Company Sergeant Major; Intelligence; Platoon Weapons; Medium Machine Gun, Mortar; Filed Works & Camouflage and Voluntary Defence Corps Instructor. In January 1945 the unit had absorbed Recruit Training Company, Western Command and it was re-named Western Command Training School. With the decrease in troop numbers in Western Australia, the school was disbanded in March 1945.
