Brief History
4th Australian Engineer Stores Section (Base) was formed at Karrakatta in December 1943 to control and account for engineer stores in the WA Line of Communication Area after 7th Workshop & Park Company left for New South Wales. The unit remained at Karrakatta until it was merged with 12th Workshop & Park Company in September 1944 to form 10th Australian Base Stores Platoon RAE.
