Remarks

Laid down on 20 February and launched on 19 Apr 1944. Commissioned on 23 May 1944 and allocated to the Asiatic-Pacific theatre. For a time in late 1944 she was involved with beach landing training at Trinity Beach in Queensland before she participated in the Tarakan Island landing with Australian troops and later the landings on Mindanao Island with US troops. At the conclusion of hostilities she was assigned to Occupation Service in the Far East from 20 Sep until 11 Oct 1945, and again from 23 Oct 1945 until 4 Jan 1946.


Decommissioned on 23 Apr 1946, she was removed from the Naval Register on 19 Jun 1946 and sold in October 1947 to the New Orleans Shipwrecking Company for scrapping.
