War Service
Casimir was enlisted in the part time CMF on 1 Aug 1941, allocated to the 118th Australian General Hospital. He was sent to the Melville Camp for initial training, before returning to his unit on 22 Aug 1941, and was called up for full time service on 21 Feb 1942. On 3 Jan 1943 Casimir was charged with havign been AWOL from midnight 1 Jan 1942 until midnight 2 Jan 1942. He was fined 30/- and forfeited a day's pay. On 1 Jul 1943 hhe was charged with Conduct to the prejudice of good order and military discipline for which he was fined £3.
Casimir was transferred on 7 Sep 1943 to the 5th Australian Field Ambulance. On 19 Nov 1943 he was admitted to the Main Dressing Station with bronchitis, returning to his unit on 24 Nov 1943. On 3 Dec 1943 he was charged with conduct to the prejudice of good order and military discipline in that his kit was not in inspection order by 11:30am on 2 Dec 1943. aOn 9 Jan 1944 he was granted 24 days leave, and on his return

UTILITY OVERTURNS - FOUR MEN HURT[1]Four men were injured when a utility skidded and over-turned in loose gravel on Albany-rd, about 5½ miles east of the Narrogin Inn, early yesterday. Taken to hospita! were :
Saunders and Gregory were allowed to leave Royal Perth Hospital after treatment, but the MacLeans were detained. Utility was being driven towards Perth by Saunders when it failed to take an S-bend. Although the vehicle was extensively damaged, 3 of its passengers escaped injury. They were Casimir Bavish, Railwav-Ave, Armadale, Morris Jerard O'Brien, Prospect rd, Armadale, and Norman James, Prospect-rd, Armadale.
