Allan had been a member of the CMF's [[Western Command Troops Supply Column]] with regimental number W32824 from 30 Sep 1941 until 10 Sep 1942, before he enlisted in the 2nd AIF on 11 Sep 1942. At the time of his initial mobilisation his address was Jarrahdale where he was a truck driver, leading to his posting as a driver/mechanic TG III. His full time service began on 30 Sep 1941. Allan was admitted to the [[110th Australian Base Hospital]] from 13 - 15 Nov 1941.

Electoral Roll entry: 1936 at Nicholson road, Cannington, carrier; 1937 at Railway street, Queens Park, contractor. While Allan was in the Army, Melba appears to have lived in Kelmscott.

War Service

Allan had been a member of the CMF's Western Command Troops Supply Column with regimental number W32824 from 30 Sep 1941 until 10 Sep 1942, before he enlisted in the 2nd AIF on 11 Sep 1942. Allan was admitted to the 110th Australian Base Hospital from 13 - 15 Nov 1941.
