Transcription Fancote. Charles beloved husband of Caroline Fancote died 24th October 1899 aged 72 years. Also Caroline dearly beloved wife of the above who departed this life 13th Sept 1915 aged 66 years. Also Sarah Alice beloved daughter of the above died 20th Nov 1900 aged 13 years. And Thomas beloved son of above died 1st April 1903 aged 29 years. "God takes the loved ones from our homes but never from our hearts".

Early Life

Caroline Fancote (nee Buckingham) was born in Devon England on 28 May 1849. Her father was Thomas Buckingham and Mary Buckingham (nee Chanter).

Marriage

Caroline married Charles Fancote Snr. in Canning Western Australia in 1871.

Immigration

Caroline emigrated to Australia with her parents and siblings on board the ship "Sophia" on 27 July 1850.

Occupation

Caroline was the first postmistress for Kelmscott (1884-1903) working from a room in the family home which fronted the Albany Road.

Death

Caroline died at the age of 72 years on 13 September 1915 and was registered at Subiaco.
